As most of us in the shipping industry will know, the sea transportation of oil and chemicals is subject to stringent international regulations in addition to the Oil Major standards. In accordance, both our parent company and our office in Singapore have successfully met the requirements of the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) and have subsequently been awarded ISM Certification from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NK) and Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Indonesia Bureau of Classification). The parent company BLT has also implemented an efficient Quality Management System (QMS) which has recently been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification.

The Glasgow office has recently achieved ISO 9001:2000 accreditation from Lloyd's Register. GBLT (UK) also conforms to SNI 19-9001-2001, the Indonesian Standard and SS ISO 9001:2000, the Singapore Standard.
